Media & Entertainment Demo Day - January 2025 Open House
Media & Entertainment Demo Day - January 2025 Open House
It’s one thing to hear about new tech. It’s another to see it in action. On January 30th, Midwich US brought together some of the biggest names in media and entertainment (M&E) for a hands-on demo day at The Farmhouse in Newark, CA.
NewBlue, Kiloview, EditShare, Epiphan, BirdDog, and Telestream came ready to showcase how their latest tools and technologies are shaping the future of content creation, broadcast, and live production. From NDI workflows to IP-based video formats to sports production solutions, the event gave regional partners a chance to explore what’s possible when powerful tech works together.
NDI connectivity in action

NDI is no longer just a buzzword—it’s changing how video moves across IP networks, as the event clearly demonstrated. With NDI connectivity running throughout the room, attendees got a first-hand look at how different formats and tools can communicate effortlessly.
- Kiloview’s Cube R1 captured NDI signals from BirdDog, layered in graphics from NewBlue, and recorded everything straight to an EditShare Field portable storage NAS. The result? A seamless workflow for on-site post-production.
- Epiphan demonstrated how local conferencing setups can get a major upgrade with custom layouts, dynamic graphics, and high-quality live streaming or recording.
- Telestream tackled the big leagues—showcasing its broadcast workflow solutions and breaking down sports production tools, designed for high-impact live coverage.
Tech talk & hands-on exploration
Of course, the real value of an event like this isn’t just in the tech itself—it’s in the conversations it sparks. Midwich’s US-based M&E team, alongside sales and technical experts, were on hand to answer questions, swap insights, and explore practical applications with attendees.
From live production workflows to storage solutions, the room was buzzing with discussions about how these technologies fit into real-world projects. There’s no substitute for seeing a workflow come together right in front of you.
